To the Editor:

On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I would like to express congratulations to Pataula Judicial Circuit Superior Court Chief Judge Joe C. Bishop on the occasion of his retirement and thank him for his service to the people of Clay, Early, Miller, Quitman, Randolph, Seminole and Terrell counties.

During his distinguished career of 36 years as a member of the State Bar of Georgia, Judge Bishop has served 27 years as a Superior Court judge and 22 years as chief judge for the Pataula Circuit.

We also salute the members of the Pataula Bar Association and the Superior Court clerks of the Pataula Circuit for holding a recent reception to honor Judge Bishop. We add our applause in recognition of Judge Bishop’s service to the public and the justice system and wish him well in the years ahead.
