To the Editor:

On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I would like to express congratulations to attorneys Marvin S. Arrington Jr. and Jeremy Farmer on their recent appointments by Gov. Nathan Deal to serve on the McPherson Implementing Local Redevelopment Authority.

Residents of the Fort McPherson area will benefit the service of Mr. Arrington, a member of the Fulton County Board of Commissioners and regional director for the National Organization of Black County Officials, and Mr. Farmer, a member of the East Point Downtown Development Authority, on the authority, which is responsible for ensuring quality reuse and redevelopment of the 145-acre former Army post.

With their acceptance of these appointments, Mr. Arrington and Mr. Farmer demonstrate their continued commitment to serving the public. We wish them well in this new capacity of leadership.
