To the Editor:

On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I would like to express congratulations to DeKalb County Magistrate Court Chief Judge Berryl A. Anderson of Decatur on her recent reappointment by Gov. Nathan Deal to the Board of Commissioners of the Magistrates Retirement Fund of Georgia, which helps county magistrates across the state prepare for retirement and provide support and services associated with their retirement fund.

Judge Anderson, who chairs the Family Violence and Domestic Relations Advisory Committee of the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges, was also appointed to the State Commission on Family Violence.

We also congratulate attorney Jacqueline F. Bunn of Decatur on her appointment by Gov. Deal to serve on the State Commission on Family Violence, which strives to provide leadership to end family violence by promoting safety, ensuring accountability and improving justice for generations to come. She also serves on the State Board of Pardons and Paroles.

By accepting these appointments, Judge Anderson and Ms. Bunn demonstrate their continued commitment to serving the public and the justice system. We wish them well in these positions of statewide leadership.
