Kimberly Keheley Frye

Kim Keheley Frye

Candidate's Campaign Message

Kim Keheley Frye is a candidate for Post 5 from Cobb for the Board of Governors. Kim is a lifelong resident of Cobb and graduate of the UGA and Georgia State University Law School and the The Trial Lawyers College in Dubois, Wy. She is married to fellow Cobb Bar member, Blake Frye and has two sons.

As a State Bar member, the pressing issue facing our bar is the many graduates of our law schools and new bar members who are hanging their shingle to practice law. Being new to the practice of law is scary and exhilarating at the same time. These new bar members need mentors and support from the bar to become successful, seasoned attorneys and to assist clients in the best way possible. We have a mentoring program with the bar through the TILPP and LPM resources. As a new Board of Governor, I would work to expand those offerings and encourage the Bar and its members to utilize the ever expanding world of technology to make that assistance easier and faster.

For the past 5 years Kim has successfully run the trial litigation firm Frye Law Group, LLC which concentrates on defending citizens accused of criminal acts. She is the current President of Cobb Criminal Defense section and past president of Cobb Solo/Small Firm section and a member of Trial Lawyers association. At the state level, Kim is the Vice President of Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and serves as the Chair of Judicial Nominations and on the Education committee. She is a member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association and the Atlanta Lawyers Club. Nationally, she is an active member with the NCDD and NACD. She serves as a mentor with Transition Into Law Practice Program for new lawyers.
