The State Bar of Georgia Executive Committee and senior Bar leadership have been closely monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic and the potential risks that in-person gatherings may pose to our members and staff. Recently, we have started to evaluate our return to the office and meeting planning options, with an optimistic view of better days ahead. To ensure the health and safety of all concerned, we will continue to hold most major events and programs virtually through the spring. We hear you and know many look forward to the in-person activities and events we all love.
With the onset of warmer temperatures and the increased availability of the vaccine to all individuals, we have plans for various, smaller in-person events as the summer approaches. On top of that, we are pleased that the 2021 Annual Meeting, scheduled for June 10-13, will be our first official in-person meeting, offered in a hybrid format. From there, we hope to gradually increase face-to-face interactions, beginning with opening up our Bar offices in Atlanta, Savannah and Tifton to staff on or around July 1. While we are excited to look ahead to bringing back in-person events and programs, we know that the situation is fluid and may require additional adjustments as we work toward a full return. We will continue to closely monitor the situation and all plans are subject to revision on a daily basis. Continue to be safe and well and we look forward to a time when we can all be together again.
