To the Editor:
The State Bar of Georgia extends condolences to the family, colleagues and many friends of longtime Savannah attorney E. Pomeroy Williams at the age of 84.
A member of the Georgia Bar since 1961, Mr. Williams joined Bouhan, Lawrence, Williams, Levy & McAlpin in Savannah, a predecessor of the current Bouhan Falligant, and concentrated his practice in the areas of corporate law, securities regulation, tax law and financial and estate planning. He was a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of the Journal of State Taxation.
He was involved in numerous local business and civic activities and served his country in the Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps.
Pomeroy Williams’ exemplary career of service is an inspiration to all Georgia lawyers. We appreciate and will remember his many contributions to the justice system in our state.
Sincerely,
Sarah B. “Sally” Akins
