Congratulations to new Superior Court Judge Nora Polk

To the Editor:

The State Bar of Georgia congratulates DeKalb County Magistrate Court Supervising Judge Nora L. Polk on her appointment by Gov. Brian Kemp to serve as a Superior Court judge for the Stone Mountain Judicial Circuit.

Judge Polk will be well served by her 23 years of experience in the legal profession and justice system, including the past 12 years as a Magistrate Court judge. She also has experience in the private practice of law and as an attorney with the Atlanta Legal Aid Society.

Through her acceptance of this appointment, Judge Polk demonstrates her continued commitment to serving the public and the justice system. We wish her well in this new position of judicial leadership.
