Daily Report
To the Editor:
On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I would like to express congratulations to Susan P. Coppedge of Krevolin & Horst LLC in Atlanta on her appointment to serve as executive director of the Georgia Legal Services Program, which offers free legal services to low-income Georgians in 154 counties outside metro Atlanta.
Ms. Coppedge will be well served by her 29 years of experience in the legal profession, including her previous 20 years of service as an assistant U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Georgia, after which she joined the U.S. State Department as head of the Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons. Her most recent experience has been of counsel with Krevolin & Horst’s litigation practice. At GLSP, she succeeds Rick Rufalo, who recently retired as executive director.
By accepting this appointment, Ms. Coppedge demonstrates her continued commitment to serving the public and the justice system. We wish her well in this new capacity of leadership.
Sincerely,
Elizabeth L. Fite
President, State Bar of Georgia
