On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I would like to express congratulations to attorney Stacey S. Jackson of Hagler, Jackson & Walters in Columbus on his appointment by Gov. Brian Kemp to serve as district attorney for the Chattahoochee Judicial Circuit, covering Chattahoochee, Harris, Marion, Muscogee, Talbot and Taylor counties.
Mr. Jackson will be well served in his new position by his 22 years of experience in the legal profession, including service as an assistant district attorney and judicial clerk in the Chattahoochee Circuit prior to his transition to private practice.
We also congratulate Pythias “Pete” Temesgen of Huff Powell Bailey LLC in Columbus on his appointment by Gov. Kemp to serve as a judge for the State Court of Muscogee County. He brings eight years of legal experience to the State Court bench, including prior service as an assistant district attorney and judicial clerk in the Chattahoochee Circuit. He is a past president of the Fountain City Bar Association.
By accepting these appointments, Mr. Jackson and Judge Temesgen demonstrate their continued commitment to serving the public and the justice system. We wish each of them well in these new roles.
