Daily Report
To the Editor:
On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I would like to express condolences to the family, colleagues and many friends of longtime Atlanta attorney J. Clifton “Cliff” Barlow Jr. after his passing at the age of 89.
A member of the Georgia Bar since 1962, Mr. Barlow was a partner for many years with the firm of Hansell & Post. Early in his career, he was one of only three Georgia lawyers working in the area of condominium law. He served as chair of the State Bar of Georgia committee that researched and wrote the law that has governed all Georgia condominiums since its enactment in 1975. He also served his country on active duty in the Navy prior to entering law school.
Cliff Barlow’s long and exemplary career is an inspiration to all Georgia lawyers. We are appreciative of his many generous contributions to the legal system in our state. He will be missed and fondly remembered.
Sincerely,
Elizabeth L. Fite
President, State Bar of Georgia
