To the Editor:

On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I would like to express congratulations to Augusta Judicial Circuit Juvenile Court Judge Amanda N. Heath on her appointment by Gov. Brian Kemp to serve as a Superior Court judge in the Augusta Circuit, covering Burke and Richmond counties.

Judge Heath will be well served in her new position by her more than 10 years of experience in the legal profession and justice system, including private law practice and previous service as an assistant district attorney in the Augusta Circuit and, for the past five years, as a Juvenile Court judge. She is also a valued member of the Board of Governors of the State Bar of Georgia.

By accepting this appointment, Judge Heath demonstrates her continued commitment to serving the public and the justice system. We wish her well in this new capacity of judicial leadership.

Sincerely,

Elizabeth L. Fite
President, State Bar of Georgia
