To the Editor:
On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I would like to express congratulations to Andrew A. Pinson, solicitor general in the Georgia Office of the Attorney General, on his appointment by Gov. Brian Kemp to serve as the newest judge on the Court of Appeals of Georgia.
Judge Pinson will be well served in his new position by his nine years of experience in the legal profession and justice system, including service as a law clerk to Justice Clarence Thomas of the U.S. Supreme Court, then-Chief Judge David Sentelle of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia, in private practice with Jones Day in Atlanta and most recently with the Office of the Attorney General, where he oversaw the office’s appellate and multi-state litigation in state and federal courts.
By accepting this appointment, Judge Pinson demonstrates his continued commitment to serving the public and the justice system. We wish him well in this new role.
Sincerely,
Elizabeth L. Fite
President, State Bar of Georgia
