Congratulations to new DeKalb State Court Judge Kimberly Alexander

To the Editor:

On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I would like to express congratulations to Judge Kimberly Alexander of the DeKalb County State Court-Traffic Division C on her appointment by Gov. Brian Kemp to serve as a judge on the DeKalb County State Court.

Judge Alexander, a Decatur resident, will be well served in her new position by her 17 years of experience in the legal profession and justice system, including previous service as a Superior Court judicial law clerk in Richmond and Columbia counties, as an assistant county attorney in Fulton County, as parliamentarian and legal counsel for the Fulton County Board of Tax Assessors, legal officer for the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning, attorney for the Georgia Department of Family and Children Services, child advocate attorney for Fulton County, assistant solicitor general in Cobb County and in private law practice.

By accepting this appointment, Judge Alexander demonstrates her continued commitment to serving the public and the justice system. We wish her well in this new capacity of judicial leadership.
