Why You Should Attend

The 17th Annual Nonprofit Law Seminar is scheduled for Wednesday, March 4, 2020 from 8am – 3:30pm. The Seminar is the signature event of the Georgia Bar Nonprofit Law Section, and culminates a 2019-2020 year of expanding CLE opportunities by the Nonprofit Law Section. The Section provides opportunities for all members, including those who serve on nonprofit boards, are legal advisors in the field of nonprofit law, and/or are simply interested in or curious about nonprofit legal issues. A few highlights of this year’s seminar include: (i) Keynote Speaker – Eve Borenstein, a national expert on all areas of nonprofit law, (ii) a panel addressing political activity and lobbying in a heated election year that includes the GA Secretary of State’s General Counsel and the Executive Director of Georgia Government Transparency & Campaign Finance Commission, (iii) a discussion about how charitable gifts can go awry, and (iv) one-hour of professionalism credit. The Nonprofit Law Section will also be holding its annual meeting during lunch at the seminar.

Space is limited. ICLE cannot guarantee admission to onsite registrants. Early registration closes 48 hours before the seminars held at State Bar of Georgia offices.  Materials for these courses are provided in digital form. Meals may not be available for walk in registrants.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations reaching ICLE by 5PM the day before the seminar date will receive a registration fee refund less a $25.00 administrative fee. Otherwise, the registrant will be considered a “no show” and will not receive a registration fee refund. ICLE will email a digital link to class materials to every “no show.” As a courtesy to speakers and other attendees in this educational setting, we do not allow children at seminars.
