Atlanta, GA 30309

Please join us on Thursday, Oct. 19, from 12 –1:30 p.m. at the offices of Kilpatrick Townsend, Suite 2800, 1100 Peachtree Street, for an interesting program on Immigration Nuts and Bolts.

Our Speaker is: Jay Solomon, Partner, at the Atlanta office of Arnall Golden Gregory LLP.

As the Trump administration considers new policies and procedures on an almost daily basis, a layer of uncertainty has been added to predicting the movement of foreign personnel into and out of the U.S. This goes beyond walls, refugees and dreamers into every type of visa, immigrant and nonimmigrant status. A main attraction of the US as a destination for international capital has always been the stability and predictability of our economy and legal system. Will immigration policy and rhetoric undermine the appearance of certainty and stability? Jay will discuss how new immigration policies and procedures are already impacting international business, and what we can expect in the future.

  • New delays in visa issuance, limitations on the types of visas available, and difficulties in renewing status for people already here
  • Potential liabilities for employers with increased immigration enforcement
  • Labor shortages
  • The possibility that the US will become a less attractive choice for international business

The charge is $25 for Members of the International Law Section and $35 for others. The fee includes lunch, parking and one hour of CLE.

We hope that you can join us.
