YLD Ethics and Professionalism Award

The YLD Ethics and Professionalism Award is presented each year to a YLD member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia who embodies the Lawyers Creed adopted by the Chief Justice’s Commission on Professionalism. Recipients exhibit fairness, integrity, diligence, good judgment and professionalism. They demonstrate exceptional ethical qualities or judgment relative to their peers in one respect or another.

Nominations are now being accepted for the 21st Annual YLD Ethics and Professionalism Award. Please complete the nomination form below by Friday, April 25.

One-page letter of recommendation (recommended). Please send letters of recommendation (if submitting) to YLD Ethics and Professionalism Chair Katie Rose Martin.

Letters of recommendation should address the following topics:

How do you know the award nominee?
How has the award nominee demonstrated fairness, integrity, diligence, good judgment and professionalism? If possible, please provide specific examples that makes the nominee a worthy recipient of this award.
Is there a specific incident or experience where the award nominee encountered an ethical or professional dilemma and exercised exceptional ethical qualities or judgment? Please describe the incident and how the nominee addressed the situation.
