Georgia Student Bar Association
The Georgia High School Student Bar Association was created in 1998 following the first annual Law Academy. A concluding activity of the Law Academy is the administration of a student bar examination, which is based upon the Rules of the Competition and the Rules of Evidence (a simplified version of the Federal Rules of Evidence) that govern the Georgia Mock Trial Competition. The essay component of the examination is based upon the case being used throughout the curriculum of the Academy.Students admitted with each class receive certificates at the annual Awards Reception at the State Finals Competition. Students earning very high scores on the examination are admitted "with honors."
