To the Editor:

On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I am writing to congratulate Tifton attorney Render M. Heard Jr. on his appointment as Juvenile Court judge in Tift County.

The juvenile justice system will benefit from Judge Heard’s 15 years of experience in the legal profession, his practice’s emphasis in family law and his service as a special assistant attorney general, representing the Department of Family and Children Services in Tift, Worth and Berrien counties. He also serves the legal profession as a member of the State Bar of Georgia Board of Governors, as a fellow of the Lawyers Foundation of Georgia and as a past president of the Tifton Bar Association, as well as serving the community in numerous youth-oriented capacities.

Judge Heard’s acceptance of this appointment demonstrates his continued commitment to public service, which in turn serves to promote the cause of justice, uphold the rule of law and protect the rights of all citizens. We wish him well in this new position of judicial leadership.

Sincerely,

Robin Frazer Clark
President
