Candidate's Campaign Message

I am a candidate for the Georgia State Bar Board of Governors, Dublin Circuit, and would appreciate your support and vote in this election. I have practiced with the King Law Group in Dublin for almost seven years doing civil litigation. I received my law degree from the University of Georgia in 2004.

I have been active in various capacities at both the State Bar and local Bar levels. I served as a representative for the Southern District of Georgia on the Executive Council of the Young Lawyers Division (YLD) from 2009 to 2011. I served as co-chair of the YLD’s Disaster Legal Services Committee in 2010-2011, in which capacity I helped coordinate the provision of legal assistance to victims of the tornadoes that struck Georgia in April 2011. I am a 2010 graduate of the YLD’s Leadership Academy.

At the local Bar level, I served as vice president of the Dublin Circuit Bar Association in 2011 and coordinated a fundraiser in the Dublin legal community in 2009 which raised money for digital video cameras for the Dublin elementary schools. I have been a member of the Dublin Exchange Club since 2007.

I believe that we have a very strong State Bar and I hope to use my position on the Board of Governors to harness the spirit of volunteerism that is a major point of pride for the State Bar to increase the level at which the Dublin Circuit legal community gives back to the community-at-large. There are many avenues to accomplish this and I would welcome any suggestions from the Dublin Circuit legal community.

I am very eager to represent the Dublin Circuit on the Board of Governors and would greatly appreciate your support and vote in this election.
