Chief Justice's Commission on Professionalism 25th Anniversary Celebration
The Chief Justice's Commission on Professionalism is pleased to announce that it is celebrating its 25th Anniversary. Its grand celebration will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at 6:00 p.m. at the Commerce Club, 191 Peachtree Street in Atlanta, Georgia.
This 25th Anniversary Celebration will proudly benefit the Georgia Legal Services Program (GLSP), a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide low-income Georgians with access to justice and opportunities to overcome poverty. Since its inception by the YLD in 1971, GLSP has provided free civil legal services to low-income individuals and families. Ten regional GLSP offices serve 154 counties in Georgia, outside of Atlanta, covering the most rural areas of Georgia.
During this event, we will also pay tribute to Commission co-founder, A. James Elliott, now Associate Dean and Professor at Emory University School of Law, Past President of the State Bar of Georgia, Past President of the Young Lawyers Division of the State Bar of Georgia, Co-Founder of Georgia Legal Services Program and the architect of the IOLTA program for funding legal aid and other projects.
We hope that you will join us for a historic evening of dinner and entertainment. Event tickets are $125 per individual, and may be purchased online here. Or, to purchase tickets by check, click here.
Opportunities for sponsorship are still available. For more information, please call or email Jeanette Burroughs at GLSP at 404.563.7710 x. 1611, firstname.lastname@example.org.
