This committee will study and recommend guidelines and protocols to respond to and assist age-impaired lawyers, including proposing solutions and best practices for attorney grievance committees, the courts and the Bar.

This committee will study and advise the Executive and Finance Committees on its current auction rate investments, and in particular, the Bar's investment policy in general.

Evidence Study
This committee shall study and make recommendations regarding the Georgia Rules of Evidence to make them more consistent, where appropriate, with the Federal Rules of Evidence.

GLSP Funding Task Force
This task force shall identify alternatives and make recommendations to the Executive Committee and Board of Governors necessary to secure reliable and adequate funding for GLSP to help achieve equal access to justice for all Georgians.

Indigent Defense
This committee works with Indigent Defense to help provide representation and equal justice to all and coordinates efforts of the legal profession and other agencies to achieve these goals.

International Trade in Legal Services
This committee shall monitor the impact of international developments on the legal profession, including, but not be limited to the effect of, the General Agreement on Trade in Services (GATS), the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), other free trade agreements having an impact on delivery of legal services, changes in the regulation of the legal profession in foreign countries that may have local impact, and all other events affecting the delivery of legal services across international borders. It shall consider these matters from both the perspective of outbound legal services delivered in foreign countries by member lawyers and inbound delivery of legal services in this State by foreign lawyers. The committee shall also consider any international issues as requested by, and make reports and recommendations concerning its activities to, the Executive Committee and the Board of Governors.

Juror Privacy and Safety
This committee shall study the public disclosure of jurors' names and addresses as it relates to their privacy and safety. It may recommend 2009 legislation if the committee feels it appropriate for the protection of Georgia citizens and the right to trial by jury.

Lawyer Advertising Task Force
This committee shall advise and make recommendations to the Executive Committee and the Board of Governors concerning lawyer advertising and business solicitation.

Legal Education Study Committee
This committee shall advise the Executive Committee with regard to the educational standards for admission to the practice of law in Georgia. It shall prepare a written paper and otherwise assist the officers in their presentation of the Bar's position on this matter.

Legislative Research
This committee shall conduct legal research on legislative topics to assist the Governor and members of the Georgia General Assembly. The chair is to create subcommittees depending upon the topic by selecting counsel based upon their expertise from the following State Bar members or others as necessary. Legislative positions of the State Bar of Georgia remain governed by Standing Board Policy 100.

This committee deals with matters relating to the post conviction of defendants in capital cases and reports any recommendations to the Board of Governors.
