Rule 5-104. Dues Increase or Decrease; Special Procedure.

In addition to the procedures described in Rules 5-101 through 5-103, at least thirty (30) days notice shall be given to the membership of the State Bar of Georgia in the Georgia State Bar Journal, the Georgia State Bar News or any other document of the State Bar of Georgia of any meeting of the Board of Governors of the State Bar of Georgia at which amendment of Rule 1-502 (Amount of License Fees) will be considered and acted upon. The notice to the general membership of the State Bar of Georgia shall contain:

  1. a statement that the amendment of Rule 1-502 (Amount of License Fees) shall be considered by the Board of Governors of the State Bar of Georgia;
  2. a verbatim copy of the proposed amendment as certified by the Executive Director of the State Bar of Georgia;
  3. the date, time and location of the meeting of the Board of Governors of the State Bar of Georgia at which such amendment will be considered;
  4. a statement that each member of the State Bar of Georgia has a right to present his views concerning the proposed amendment either through his circuit representative to the Board of Governors or in person before such Board; and
  5. the address to which all written objections to the proposed amendment may be sent.
