State Bar of Georgia Lawyers Serving the Public and the Justice System

Section 1. Standing Committees

The following shall be standing committees of the Young Lawyers Division and shall be appointed by the president as hereinafter provided:

1. Budget. This committee, which shall include the treasurer as an ex officio member, shall be appointed and organized by the president-elect at least sixty days immediately preceding the annual meeting so as to facilitate the preparation of a budget and so as to coordinate the receipts and disbursements of the Young Lawyers Division for the fiscal year.
2. Organization of the Young Lawyers Division. This committee shall consider and make recommendations on all proposed amendments or changes concerning the organization of the Young Lawyers Division in its rules, bylaws, and procedures.
3. Nominating.
4. Election.
5. Publications. This committee, which shall include the editor of the Young Lawyers Division Newsletter as an ex officio member, shall consider and make recommendations on proposed publications of the Young Lawyers Division as to the number and types of publications issued or sponsored by the Young Lawyers Division.
6. Public Information. This committee shall have jurisdiction of matters concerning the relationship of the Young Lawyers Division with the public, the press, and other media of public communication with a view to promoting public relations and understanding of the activities of The Younger Lawyers Division.
